DigitalSoundboard's
SoundCheck
The purpose of
our SoundCheck page is to offer people new to downloading
music files, working with FLAC, and/or MP3's, the ability
to practice the download process with no costs involved. We are confident that once you successfully download and burn
from our SoundCheck area that you will be comfortable in
moving to the next step at our site which is purchasing and
downloading shows and the studio recordings offered at our
Artist partner pages.
The steps that
need to be taken here are essentially the same as they will
be once you have purchased a show or studio recording. The steps are:
Step 1. Is the FLAC
frontend already installed on your computer?
If you plan on downloading a
FLAC file, now is a good time to download the FLAC frontend.
Click
here for the FLAC Frontend
Once the download
of the FLAC Frontend is complete, install it onto your computer. We recommend that you add the program icon to your desktop.

FAQ
Step 2. Click on the
file link at the bottom of this page.
A dialog window will open and
ask where you would like to save the file to on your hard
drive. Suggestions: Create a folder in your directory
structure and title it DigitalSoundboard. Within that
folder create a new folder with the Artist name that corresponds
to your download. Set that folder as the directory destination
for the download. If all of this is way too much for
you to handle, have the file download to your desktop. It will be easy to locate on your desktop. Note: you will then want to create a DigitalSoundboard directory on your hard drive which to store your music files.
Step 3. The
file is on my computer. Now what?
If you downloaded an MP3, it
is ready to go. You can now burn the file to disc or
load it into you MP3 player.
If you downloaded a FLAC file,
now is the time to open up the FLAC frontend that you installed
minutes ago.
Click on Add Files.
In your directory structure, find the FLAC file that you downloaded.
It will be added into the white box in the frontend utility
under Files. A single left mouse click on the file will
highlight it. Next do a single left click on the Decode
button and your FLAC file will soon uncompress and a new WAV
file will be added to your directory structure. WOOHOO!
Now burn that file to a blank cd-r and you are officially
now a savvy music file downloader/burner. Congratulations,
you are now free to move about DigitalSoundboard.net.
